Walmart: iPad app for employees of the Tire & Battery Centers

The AI Portal for a financial client needed to allow data scientists to onboard their own new projects, maintain and monitor models. The design also needed to be modular so that new lines of business could add their projects and immediately start customizing the charts and data needed for the project. The main users of the Portal are data scientists who can add and revise models and monitor their behavior once deployed. The secondary users are executive stakeholders who will use the Portal to monitor AI & ML projects in summary.

Model Monitoring Dashboard

We started the project by designing the Model Monitoring Dashboard. The Dashboard gives the data scientist a high level view of how an individual model is performing.

On the development team, in addition to me as the Lead Designer, we had a team of 3 data scientists who informed the types of charts needed for Model Monitoring as well as acted as the voice of the main user.

We came up with a series of data visualizations that could accommodate the various data views needed. These charts included line graphs, two types of bar graphs in addition to variable width histograms and heat maps.

New Instance of a Bar Graph for the Chatbot Usage

The charts needed to work with the Chat Bot Console & Platform also used by the financial institution. With the addition of a couple of new data visualizations, the design was able to accommodate Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Chat Bot data.
